Hogmanay Dinner Menu 2018

Our evening begins with welcome drinks by our fire at 7pm followed by our 3 course meal at 7.30pm.  Live entertainment starts at 10pm with Folk Band Pure Malt who play a wide range of songs.  Song request sheets will be available so as to encourage customer involvement and it is up to you if you would like to get up and dance or sit and listen.  Our atmosphere is relaxed and you do not have to dress up simply dress comfortable.  
This event is booking only and pre-order forms should be returned as soon as possible.  We also require a deposit to secure your booking.

~ Starters ~

Cream of Lentil Soup with pancetta bacon  V

Can be served without bacon for vegetarians

Served with Herb croutons and a warm, crusty bread roll

Scottish Smoked Salmon

Served with fresh leaves, oatcakes and a lemon and sherry dressing

Warm Mini Marinated Pork Fillet Skewers

Presented on a fresh herb noodle salad and drizzled with a chilli scented teriyaki dressing

 

~ Main Courses ~

Pan Fried Scottish Beef Medallions

Served on a bed of half roasted rosemary scented potatoes, With

seasonal vegetables and a red wine gravy

Pan Fried Monkfish wrapped in Parma Ham

Served on a vegetable and herb couscous with a sweet tomato and pepper sauce

Poached Fife Chicken Breast with Stornoway Black Pudding

Sat on a bed of creamy garlic mash, fresh wilted spinach and a wholegrain mustard cream sauce

 

Stuffed Puff Pastry Pithivier               V

Filled with spinach, wild mushroom and smoked applewood cheese

Presented on a bed of provencale vegetables and finished with a parsley cream sauce

Homemade Sticky Toffee Pudding

With your choice of Custard or Cream

Selection of Luxury Icecreams with a biscuit crumb and raspberry coulis

One scoop each of Creamy Vanilla, Strawberries & Cream & Honeycomb Harvest

Layered White and Dark Chocolate Mousse

Scented with cointreau and topped with chantilly cream

Kintyre Blue, Applewood Smoked Cheddar & Scottish Brie served with oatcakes, celery sticks, grapes & red onion marmalade
