Tucked away at the foot of Ben Ledi (the highest mountain in the Trossach's) on the eastern gate of Scotland's first National Park; the Loch Lomond & Trossachs, you will find the Lade Inn. Only 1 mile from Callander, 16 from Stirling, 44 from Edinburgh and 36 from Glasgow, it is perfectly situated for dinner during a weekend getaway or a spot of lunch whilst out sight seeing.

Travelling north on the A84, just 1 mile from the popular tourist town of Callander is the tiny hamlet of Kilmahog, the Lade Inn is on the first left turn (A821) past the woollen mills.

However, the most rewarding way to get to us and the only way you can responsibly enjoy our delicious Real Ales or gorgeous wines is to walk or cycle along the very flat National Route 7 which leads you directly from Callander (30 mins) or Strathyre (1 hour) to us here at the Lade Inn.

Not only is it a very scenic walk taking in the Roman Fort remains, surrounding Trossachs mountains, woodland and farmland from Callander or the beautiful River Teith from Strathyre, it is also the only way you can see some of the native bird and wildlife in the area.  Especially look out for the Dippers bobbing at the river's edge looking for flies, the beautiful Bullfinches in the tall grass meadows or the Red Squirrels in the woodlands.
